Respiratory Therapist

Overview:

The Gardens Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in supporting a Part B Pulmonary program. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialized respiratory care and support to our residents, focusing on improving their respiratory health and enhancing their quality of life.

Location: 104 Lois Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Position Type: Part-Time/PRN

Key Responsibilities:

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor and assess residents' respiratory status and provide timely interventions.

Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and the management of chronic respiratory conditions.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans.

Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.

Document all treatments, assessments, and interventions accurately in residents' medical records.

Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in respiratory therapy and the management of pulmonary conditions.

Provide input into the development and refinement of the Part B Pulmonary program to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

Qualifications:

Current and valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.

Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.

Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, practices, and equipment.
