Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist with a strong background in AWS cloud services, Windows operating systems, and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL). The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure, supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based systems, and administering MSSQL databases. The candidate will collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless IT operations, security, and performance across both on-premise and cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Management:
Manage and support AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets and VPCs.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS services to ensure high availability and performance.
Implement security measures such as IAM roles, security groups, and encryption within AWS environments.
Windows OS Support:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations, ensuring system stability, security, and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues on Windows-based systems.
Ensure proper backups and disaster recovery measures are in place for Windows systems.
MSSQL Database Management:
Administer and optimize MSSQL databases, including backup/restore, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Write basic SQL queries.
Implement and maintain database security, user permissions, and access controls.
Perform regular database health checks, backups, and restore operations.
Qualifications:
AWS Expertise: Proven experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM and CloudWatch.
Windows OS Expertise: Experience with Windows Server and desktop environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows systems.
MSSQL Expertise: Knowledge and experience in MSSQL database management, including performance tuning, backups, and query optimization.
Security and Networking: Familiarity with security best practices, networking concepts, and administering network configurations on both Windows and AWS platforms.
Certifications (Preferred):
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) recommended
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, cloud operations, Windows system administration, and MSSQL database management.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, Windows OS environments, and MSSQL databases is essential.
