About the Team & Role:
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a crucial role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed worldwide, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real-time. The Trading team is responsible for developing trading strategies that will drive revenue for TikTok's largest and fastest growing clients and agencies. The Deal Analyst will team with the US Head of Trading, sales leadership, monetization strategy and operations and cross functional partners to develop unique programs to bring to market. The analyst will be responsible for developing Joint Business Partnership (JBP) offerings and tracking the results. The person demonstrates an ability to build relationships throughout the organization to drive consensus with the sales team. The analyst possesses strong negotiating skills and an ability to find a balance between client goals and TikTok's goals. A successful candidate will show strong problem solving skills and will display an ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments. TikTok follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week, or as directed by the manager/department/office. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time. This position is full-time and based out of our NYC Times Square office, which follows a 3 day in-office schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Be a part of the Trading Deal Desk, including supporting sales in deal structuring, contract reviews, approvals, and order management
- Improve the Trading Deal Desk process through collaboration with sales leadership, monetization strategy and operations, finance, legal to ensure optimal deal cycle times and execution
- Build rapport with sales leaders to better understand client and agency directions. Design Joint Business Partnerships that will equally benefit TikTok and its partners
- Execute commercial go to market strategies with the intention to drive revenue and the company's objectives
- Collaborate with analytics teams to measure the success of the company's trading strategies
- Track Joint Business Partnership performance, commercial terms execution, budget monitoring and cross functional execution of strategic value added
- Partner with systems team to improve the automation of the deal making and execution processes
- Understand and research industry trends to ensure TikTok is always on the cutting edge
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in Digital Advertising or Digital Marketing
- Experience conducting business reviews with clients and key internal stakeholders and working with data
- Experience negotiating with clients and agencies in digital and/or linear advertising
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to change on a dime, work through ambiguity and problem solve on the fly
- Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to create and break the status quo
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of business acumen and an ability make the complex seem simple
- Financial skills in order to manage tracking, forecasting and the ROI of deals
- An understanding of the inner workings of advertising agencies and clients
