Position Summary | Trained microbiologist is required to conduct experiments related to the biology of Chlamydia species. Designs, performs and interprets controlled microbiological experiments that examines the basic physiology and microbiology of Chlamydia as it relates to redox biology and impacts of redox alterations on chlamydial developmental cycle progression. Knowledge of and practical application of chlamydial genetic tools is a requirement. Participates in the writing of manuscripts, submission of grant applications, and presentation of data at local, national, and international scientific meetings, as well as in the training pre- and post-doctoral trainees in the laboratory. |
