Position Summary
The Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner would function as a co-leader within the Research Division of the Psychiatry Department. Possession of strong organizational and communication skills,
attention to detail, knowledge of regulatory processes and protections for human subjects in
research, as well as skills in the conduct of clinical research, research writing, and care of
psychiatric patients are necessary for this role. Understanding of the resources and skills within
the Research Division and being able to blend these with the strengths of the Department is also
key.

Required Education: Master's degree

Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Patient care experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical and/or research setting.

Current APRN licensure in the State of Nebraska (or eligible for license prior to beginning to provide care)

Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous employment and/or graduate study should demonstrate organization, initiative,
creativity and reliability. Successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and
communications skills and be knowledgeable in the areas of research ethics,
psychopharmacology, psychotherapeutic modalities (ie.individual, group) and general medical
problems.

Preferred Experience:
Prefer experience with children/adolescents and families receiving psychiatric care and back ground in clinical trials/research is preferred.
