Position Summary	Primary responsibilities will be assisting in the design, conduct, evaluation, and enhancement of research methods and procedures with cultured cells and live animals using cellular, biochemical, and molecular biological techniques. Additional key responsibilities include the following: data analysis and summary for presentations, manuscripts and grant proposals; assisting and training of laboratory personnel and students in research methods, procedures and equipment; maintaining and working with laboratory animals; setting up and maintaining supply inventories; preparation and ordering of reagents, and; general maintenance of the laboratory including coordination and development of guidelines for laboratory operations.

Preferred Experience:	Additional years of advanced training including molecular biology techniques is preferred. Research laboratory experience with animals and tissue culture techniques.

Preferred Other Computer Applications:	Prism, Adobe Photoshop, and EndNote
Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:	Knowledge of ELISA, immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, whole animal biology, and PCR is preferred. Experience in developing new protocols, supervising students and new personnel, and managing day-to-day laboratory operations is also desirable.
