Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join our team. The Employee Relations Advisor plays an integral role in enhancing organizational culture. As a highly experienced HR professional this role is responsible for managing complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations, providing expert advice to leadership on employment policies and practices, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and promoting a positive and productive work environment within an organization, often acting as a key liaison between employees, leaders, and HR leadership on sensitive matters; requiring deep knowledge of employment law and strong analytical skills to resolve conflicts effectively.
This role follows a hybrid schedule, combining on-site and remote work. Employees must reside in Nebraska or Iowa.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three years previous employee relations experience required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (one year of experience is equivalent to one year of education) required.
Experience in conflict management, including conducting workplace environmental assessments and providing actionable items to improve culture required.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to guide and mentor leaders through employment-related decisions required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely required.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Proven facilitator/mediation skills required.
Working knowledge of employment regulations required.
Ability to work independently required.
Ability to maintain confidential information required.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions required.
Broad knowledge of organization Human Resource and other applicable policies required.
Understanding of federal and state employment regulations required.
Experience with typical office equipment (e.g. PC/Laser printer, HRIS System, copy machine, telephone, fax, audiovisual, and computer) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in healthcare administration, business administration or human resources administration preferred.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
