340B Operation Analyst (Pharmacy)

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a 340B Operation Analyst (Pharmacy) at Nebraska Medicine. This office position works from the Pharmacy HUB location for Nebraska Medicine, located near 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE as well as can work remotely.

An ideal candidate would be a focused and detail-oriented individual, able to work independently once trained, who possesses a background in Pharmacy/Healthcare along with data analysis experience and an understanding of or experience with the 340B drug program.

Shift:

  • 1st shift - Full Time - Benefits Eligible (1.0 FTE)

  • Working 8 hour days, Monday - Friday with flexible hours

  • Hybrid scheduling available after 3 months of in-office training

340B Operation Analyst (Pharmacy):

Work with the 340B team to maintain compliance with the 340B drug discount program. Follow policy and procedures and standards of practice and ensure adherence to 340B Program regulations and guidance. Perform program audits and participate in external audits. Help support program optimization and enhancements. Learn and support management of compliant 340B drug purchasing and optimization. Learn and support inventory processes. Understand and use split billing software to support inventory processes and overall program management for compliance. Build working relationships with pharmacy and other department contacts within the organization. Develop and maintain internal and external relationships as needed to support the 340B program areas. Support data and information preparations and reporting as needed. Support short- and long-term projects related to enhancing and optimizing the 340B program and ensuring compliance. Follow 340B updates and seek continual learning in the 340B program, rules, and guidance surveillance. Continue to build knowledge of the health care and pharmacy services industry and identify recommendations to improve the 340B Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years' pharmacy, healthcare or data experience required.

  • Knowledge of the 340B program or training relative to the 340B program required.

  • Healthcare experience, preferably in pharmacy purchasing or operations required.

  • Experience with pharmacy systems and electronic medical record.

  • Bachelor's degree required or minimum of four years of work experience: in healthcare administration, health science, business, finance, or related field required.

  • Quick learner and able to employ systems analysis and quality assurance concepts required.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills required.

  • Able to work on a team and independently required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

  • Strengths in attention to detail, managing multiple projects and responsibilities, and applying learnings to complete tasks independently required.

  • Analytical skills necessary to problem solve and increase system efficiencies required.

  • Time management skills and accountability to routine work deadlines, long-term projects, and short term asks required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project owner experience preferred.

  • Licensed and certified as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska preferred.

  • Experience in 340B mixed-use and/or contract pharmacy environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations preferred.
