Our client is seeking a Child Welfare Coordinator to join their team. The selected individual will be responsible for organizing and facilitating all child welfare conferences which consist of prehearing conferencing (PHC), family group conferencing (FGC), pre-hearing permanency conferences (PHPR), termination of parental rights conferences (TPR), child welfare mediation (CWM), child welfare facilitation (CWF), and Expedited Family Group Conferences (EFGC).
Job Duties

  • Assess incoming referral, ensuring the referral is connected to the correct conference.
  • Evaluate key risk factors, ensuring a thorough understanding of stakeholder priorities.
  • Gather and record contact information, including court dates and the life cycle of the case.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to prepare for the conference to include location, and any food arrangements.
  • Review the conference process and the stakeholder roles in the process.
  • Ensure that agency staff are aware of the scheduled conference.
  • Facilitate conference room set-up.
  • Meet and greet guests when they arrive.
  • Ensure all intake paperwork is complete prior to the beginning of the conference.
  • Educate stakeholders on the conference evaluation process.
  • Collect evaluations and tidy up the conference room at the conclusion of the session.
  • Type the plan the family/team developed during the conference.
  • Ensure all information is correct and upload the report.
  • Document all activities into CLM and fillable work description PDF.
  • Submit completed fillable work description to Executive Director and Case Manager via email.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Psychology, Sociology, or similar discipline, or applicable work experience.
  • ODR approved Specialized Alternative Dispute Resolution training (SADR).
  • ODR approved Restorative Justice Conferencing training (RJ-VYC).
  • ODR Parenting Act Bi-Annual approval.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and promptness for work.
