We are currently seeking a Accounting Manager who will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization.

What You’ll Do:

As our Accounting Manager , you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day cash flow of the agency and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments and receipts. You will work closely with the CFO and other team members to drive financial efficiency and accountability across departments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Oversee cash flow management and forecasting to support daily operations and long-term planning
Perform daily reconciliations of bank balances and prepare a cash position scorecard for the CFO
Manage all aspects of cash receipts, ensuring alignment with donor databases and agency accounting systems
Ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments
Maintain up-to-date records for vendor compliance, including W-9s and insurance certificates
Coordinate with billing staff to reconcile incoming payments with client billings
Review the Accounts Receivable Aging report and support accurate payment posting
Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to ensure timely payroll funding
Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
Reconcile monthly expense accrual accounts and ensure accurate reporting
File required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with government agencies
Assist with preparation for annual audits and 990 tax filings
Cross-train with accounting colleagues and provide coverage during absences
Serve as a resource and knowledge base for day-to-day accounting functions
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts within the Finance Department

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
3–4 years of relevant accounting experience (non-profit sector strongly preferred)
Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards, including ASC 958 and ASC 606
CPA designation preferred, but not required
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Concur is a plus
Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management abilities
A customer service mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with donors, vendors, and internal teams
A collaborative spirit and a desire to support a team working toward a greater cause

Working Environment:
This role is based in an office setting, with standard weekday hours and occasional evening or weekend needs. You should be comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods and able to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
