Sr. IT Support Associate, Events (Lincoln, NE)

 

Job Description Summary:

 

This position will serve as the primary IT support contact for personnel in Varner Hall, as well as IT support for public, donor and special events which are critical to the University's image and reputation. This individual will play a critical role in supporting Board of Regents, Commencement, presidential and chancellor speaking engagements, grant-award ceremonies, etc. Provides and manages the planning and coordination for University Academic and internal and external Facility Rental events in designated areas of responsibility, which may include customer support, AV/IT support, videoconferencing, sound system, meeting support and production. This person will be required to work nights and weekends as dictated by the events schedule on a regular basis. Strong client relationship and relationship management skills.This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.

Qualifications:

 

Required QualificationsTwo years of post-secondary educationThree years of experience supporting IT and AV technologies in a professional or University settingThorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Apple MacOS operating systems, software application administration and hardwareExperience with direct customer support

Preferred Qualifications Experience with space management softwareExperience with technology research and development and procurementExperience with managing vendor interactionsExperience and understanding of managing and operating audio/video equipment

Equivalent combination of education, experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
