Manager of Engineering 

We have a career opportunity for a Manager of Engineering. You will be responsible for the Engineering department and responsible for resourcing, coordinating and facilitating engineering projects with your team, from owning project assignments and progressing projects through the preliminary engineering phase into further stages.

This position will be located in Omaha, NE, working onsite with different management levels and support personnel in other office locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the Engineering Department, providing guidance and support to the Technical Services team.
  • Overseeing and managing calibration programs for production equipment, facility systems and other essential instruments.
  • Assisting in the creation and execution of Installation, Operational, Process Qualification, and Process Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, PV) protocols, as well as developing summary reports.
  • Updating and approving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting risk assessments and implementing the improvements identified through those assessments.
  • Writing technical protocols and reports that are accurate, clear, and in compliance with industry standards.
  • Reporting on performance outputs and project updates, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing Change Control, Deviation, and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) development, investigations, approval, and implementation within the Engineering department.

What We Are Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Physical Facilities or Engineering, particularly in FDA and cGMP regulated environments.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, with strong conflict resolution, team-building, and staff development abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to relate to employees and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other basic computer skills.
