Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Water Resources Civil Design Project Engineer in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with team members. This individual will have a proven track record in civil engineering design. Additionally, this candidate will:

  • Produce design plans and specifications for agency, public, and private land development projects.
  • Prepare civil engineering design calculations, high-level technical designs, drainage reports, and cost estimates.
  • Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and requirements limitations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that is meeting the NCEES Engineering Education Standard
  • Engineer in Training (“E.I.T.” or “E.I.”) Designation
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office 
  • Experience with design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results
  • Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of progressively responsible engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HY-8, or related water modeling software
  • Experience with ArcPro and ArcMap
