The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Development Director to ensure high quality and applicable marketing content is published internally and externally. This individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including content creation using Adobe Suite, communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, video and photography, and social media. The marketing assistant must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. This person will work with integrity, and contribute with diligence, to marketing and communications goals. This includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of the marketing and communication activities that support Charles Drew Health Center’s mission and vision. A strong image of Charles Drew Health Center within the community and an increase in the number of unique patients served will be a measure of success for the Marketing and Communications coordinator.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, communications or advertising preferred.
Licensure: None
Experience: Traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
Expertise: Adobe Suite, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, Dropbox, website development and management.
Language: English
Hours of Work: 40-hour work week, varies Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm; evenings and weekends, as required
Travel: Local, intrastate, and interstate travel, as required
Exposure: The exposure characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. For example, while performing the essential functions of this job, the employee occasionally is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Additionally, the employee may be occasionally exposed to blood borne and other hazardous chemicals. Finally, the noise level in the work environment can occasionally be quite loud. In all cases personal protective equipment will be provided to the employee in combination with adequate ventilation and other engineering controls to minimize the risk of exposure or other hazardous occurrence.
