POSITION SUMMARY:

The Transportation Driver is responsible for meeting transportation needs of CDHC.

POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Abide by all state and local driving laws
Transport patients, clients, and participants to and from various pre-approved locations
Pick up and deliver mail to included interoffice mail from CDHC locations and US post office
Delivering medications and labs to appropriate locations
Pick up and deliver to the appropriate locations the following: medications, labs, soiled lab coats X-Rays,
Transport supplies between CDHC locations as needed
Confirm and print daily route schedule
Update vehicle registration and insurance as needed
Ensure HIPAA compliance when dealing with or transporting protected health information
Ensure safety compliance regarding seatbelt use and car seat use
Complete daily pre-trip inspection and checklist of assigned vehicle
Ensure vehicles are well kept and clean internal and external
On light transportation days, assist as needed with light maintenance or other tasks as determined by the Supervisor

Education: High School diploma or equivalent or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Licensure: Valid Driver’s License, CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Experience: Satisfactory driving record; At least 3 years passenger transport preferred; CDL Preferred
