Job Title: Custom Applicator
Location: Alliance, NE
Position Summary:
The Custom Applicator is responsible for providing custom application services to our clients in the Alliance, NE area in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will ensure that all application operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. The Custom Applicator will be responsible for providing crop protection products and fertilizer services to growers, as well as diagnosing and advising on crop fertility and management issues.
Responsibilities:
• Operate application equipment in a safe, efficient and effective manner
• Follow application guidelines and safety procedures
• Ensure proper calibration of application equipment
• Diagnose and advise on crop fertility and management issues
• Provide crop protection products and fertilizer services to customers
• Maintain accurate records of applications and services provided
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Keep up-to-date with product and application knowledge
• Monitor and report on environmental conditions
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least two years of experience in agriculture-related technician, management, or equipment maintenance roles
• Crop Advisor certification a plus
• Knowledge of pesticide application techniques
• Experience operating agricultural application equipment
• Ability to read and interpret maps and labels
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
