If you are motivated, organized, detailed, and thrive in fast-paced, changing environments, Conductix-Wampfler is the place for you.  We are a growing, progressive manufacturer of electrical-mechanical engineered products looking to add a Material Inventory Coordinator to our team.  In this role you will work with the procurement, production, quality, and shipping and receiving teams to pull and stage orders, deliver materials received to waiting production departments and work to meet changing delivery requirements.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Experience in a material inventory or material inventory control a plus
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Blueprint, assembly print reading a plus
  • Understanding of manufacturing workflow
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret bills of materials, drawings, Bills of Lading, and material certification documents
  • Be self-directed on daily duties, issues that arise, and department and team goals
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft systems such as Office365, Word/Excel
  • Display excellent written and oral communication skills
  • SAP experience a plus

SUMMARY - Material Inventory Coordinator

Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments by performing the following duties. Evaluate inventory levels for potential adjustment to match production demand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Reviews production orders and related information and confers with department supervisors and MRP to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.

Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.

Assists MRP in processing/handling purchase orders/production orders for sub-contracted processes.

Utilizes reports and data generated from SAP and ProClarity to maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory and material related data/information.

Assures that materials being put into inventory are “rotated” so materials are used per FIFO inventory management requirements. Identifies if there are inventory “shelf life” issues or concerns and advises the Operations Managers and MRP.

Works with Operations Managers, Accounting, and MRP to conduct inventory cycle counts to verify accuracy of, or to modify inventory related information.

Examines materials against shop packets to verify conformance to specifications.

Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

Moves or transports materials from one department to another.

Continuously improving the methods used in storing and moving materials within our operations.

Advises Operations Managers and MRP on inventory levels that may need to be maintained by suppliers.

Pull inventory for both stock jobs and order related jobs.

Educate and shows commitment to quality in all aspects of operations activities.

Determines if work orders need to be made/adjusted to ensure product is in stock to meet demand from sales orders.

Reviews all production orders to ensure materials and inventory needed are on site to fulfill order demand.

Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.

Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.

Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

Monitors and controls movement of materials and parts.

Responsible for disposition of both received and outgoing inventory and correctly housing product in its primary storage location. This relates to both sales/marketing inventory as well as stocked production inventory, materials, and products.

Identifies, creates, and affixes ALL identification materials including placards, labels, pictures and text information to all products and warehouse product locations as required.

Manages all scrap materials removal with MRP, supervisors and leads, and scrap vendors on a timely basis in both facility locations.

Effectively communicates with related personnel (albeit Supervisor’s, Leads, Operations Manager, MRP, and Procurement) when an issue or shortage arrives and causes an exception to regularly scheduled materials, items, or production.

Actively engages all “follow through” requirements during exception management situations.

Understands, supports, implements and sustains 5S program initiatives and goals.

Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.

Upholds the Core Values.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school, or three to four years of direct related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common specific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
