Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to be based in New York, NY .

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Design plumbing and Fire Protection systems.

• Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

• Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

• Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

• Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering + none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Capable of using spreadsheet, word and standard office software.

• Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include AutoCAD, Revit).

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.
