The goal of the sales internship will be for the intern to assist in obtaining listings and advertisements from our customers for the publication the intern is assigned as well as other publications produced by Sandhills Publishing. The intern will learn about the company products and business objectives as well as shadow other members of the department to gain exposure to sales strategies.
The Intern will also become responsible for servicing customers including acquiring and servicing new and existing accounts. The intern will learn and apply different sales techniques as well as develop advertisements for the customer. Researching prospective advertisers, placing sales orders and maintaining sales records will be part of the internship. Assume other duties as assigned. Established Sales Interns earn an average of $20/hour+ after completing training.
