Program Overview:

The Extended Academic Success Leadership Academy (EASLA) of Cheyenne County provides after-school and summer programming for children ages 5 to 12 at no cost to families. The EASLA program also provides a safe and consistent environment on weekdays when school is in session from 3:30 until 6:00 p.m. and 7 a.m.-6 p.m. when school is not in session and during the summer months. The youths in this program will have a dependable place to work on homework, socialize with peers, and learn respect for themselves and others while their parents or guardians are often still at work.  EASLA offers enjoyable activities for elementary-aged children, like reading, crafting, and a game room, combined with educational experiences, including homework assistance, building math skills, and strengthening reading skills. At the same time, the youth are engaged in programming activities. The children in this program will have a secure after-school activity to have fun and learn during the gap between the end of the school day and when their caretakers are available during the evenings.
