Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a clear vision and strategic plan for the football program, fostering success at the state level while prioritizing player development and character growth.

  • Serve as a leader in the school community, both as a coach and a teacher, promoting academic achievement and school pride.

  • Build strong relationships with feeder schools and youth football programs to ensure a sustainable and thriving pipeline of talent.

  • Develop student-athletes not only to compete at the next level of football but also to excel as responsible citizens and future leaders.

  • Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and discipline, emphasizing teamwork and personal growth.

  • Actively engage with parents, alumni, and the greater Millard South community to promote enthusiasm and support for the program.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a head coach or coordinator at the high school or college level is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a comprehensive football program.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Commitment to academic excellence, student character development, and community engagement.

  • Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain one.
