About This Job

The Open Architecture Specialist will provide support for the Communities products. This role will also oversee the Orion Portfolio Solutions strategist/model/fund processing. Additionally this position will lead the team specialists in prioritizing workload and coordinating product training and meetings. This position will possess a deep knowledge of these products and services to effectively train team members and Strategists.

For External Candidates:
Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Omaha, NE; Berwyn, PA; Hebron, KY.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Compiles a complete knowledge of the Communities portal
  • Prioritizes workload and assigns owners for the Strategist onboarding team & special projects
  • Coordinates and leads cross-departmental product sales/support meetings.
  • Partners closely with Project Manager and Product Team from discovery phase through training and onboarding of Enterprise clients managing their own models or 3rd party strategists; for Gated Communities
  • Works directly with strategists to train and onboard them to the Communities platform.
  • Handles Intro calls with new Strategists interested in offering their models on the Communities platform
  • Works closely with the Orion Due Diligence team through new model approval & contracting
  • Maintains knowledge of process and requirements for strategist to be offered on all Orion platforms as well as knowledge of Strategist contracts, onboarding and ongoing model maintenance fees
  • Builds relationships with fellow team members covering strategists, integration partners, top BD/RIA clients, large institutions and other similar opportunities, and Orion Sales team members
  • Maintains an accurate list and pipeline of Strategists and models being added to all Orion platforms- OPS, Communities & Gated Communities
  • Leads co-workers through instruction, coaching, providing real-time on-the-job experiences, modeling effective practices and advising on methods used.
  • Ensures proper documentation of processes and procedures and implements updates where efficiency is gained.
  • Solves issues and responds to inquiries with accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
  • Maintains and upholds the standards in which have been set for our capabilities and function enhancements.

Skills Needed to Perform the Job

  • Knowledge and understanding of advisor facing technology tools.
  • General knowledge of back office processing; account transfers, new accounts, tax reporting, customer services, etc.
  • Knowledge of Orion Tech and Orion Portfolio Solutions business models.
  • Ability to maintain an expected confidence and comfort level while being effective in many high-pressure situations with clients.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective written, listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and organizational skills.

Education Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Orion Industry Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Experience Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience with troubleshooting report related inquiries preferred.

Salary Range:

$28.36 - $41.66

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
